The endemic Berlepsch’s Canastero‘s range is restricted to the department of La Paz, in the upper Río Consata drainage. It can be found in degraded Polylepis woodland, scrub, and Puya bromliads in agricultural areas with eucalyptus trees. To see this species, head to the upper portion of the Old Coroico Road, or to the Lake Titicaca and Sorata vicinity.
