| Similar Species Especies Similares | Overlaps in elevation and is locally syntopic with both congeners. Red throat of male distinctive. Female separated from larger female Band-tailed Fruiteater by yellow forehead and throat, greener lower underparts, all-green tail (lacking black subterminal band and white tip). | Solapa altitudinalmente y coexiste localmente con ambos congéneres. Notar distintiva garganta roja del macho. Hembra separada de la hembra del Frutero Cola Bandeada por su menor tamaño, frente y garganta amarillas, vientre más verdoso, cola enteramente verde (sin banda subterminal negra y punta blanca). |
