San Miguelito is a working cattle ranch where tourism helps support conservation of jaguar habitat, thus helping to conserve habitat for all wildlife. Wildlife abounds with over 20 species of raptors, plentiful aquatic birds, possible sightings of 6 monkey species, foxes, 2 types of peccary, anteaters, and much more. Guided observation is possible via canoe, hiking, horseback, and driving tours, as well as from observation platforms.
