| Behavior Comportamiento | Behavior much like that of Spectacled Redstart, which typically replaces Slate-throated sharply at higher elevations (limit varies locally):Mostly in pairs or family groups in canopy and subcanopy, occasionally lower; regularly with mixed flocks. Conspicuous; sallies for arthropods to foliage and air, including aerial chases after escaping insects; hops along branches wagging tail from side to side; often fans tail, flashing white outer rectrices. Highly vocal almost year-round. | Comportamiento parecido al de la Candelita de Anteojos; esta típicamente reemplaza a la Candelita Garganta Pizarrosa bruscamente a altitudes mayores (altitud específica varía localmente): En parejas o grupos familiares en el dosel y subdosel, ocasionalmente más abajo, regularmente en bandadas mixtas.
